Castlehackett
The ancient castle of the Kirwans lies beneath Knockma Hill, believed to be the legendary Other world seat of Finvarra, ruler of the fairies of Connaught.

Knockma Hill
Knockma the great 'Hill of Maeve' is situated 2km west of Belclare. Maeve the legendary Queen of Connacht is reputed to be buried in the Cairns on the summit of the hill from which one of the greatest panoramic views in Ireland may be obtained.

Ballinderry Castle
Ballinderry Castle is in the barony of Clare, five miles south of Tuam, which the O'Connors made the capital of Ireland in the 13th century.

Corofin Castle
Corofin Castle built in 1451 for Emelina deBurgo, and was part of the manor of Headford.

Anbally Castle
Anbally Castle was a 15th century castle and bawn of the Burke family. It was formerly known as Tavenagh Castle.

Ballyglunin Train Station
